Healthy Or Not? Deli Meat

Most consider deli meat to be a healthy snack with many different uses. Although this is usually true from a nutritional facts standpoint, it does not always hold up when looking at ingredients. Deli meats are rarely just meat and water and typically consist of a whole lot of sodium and other additives that should be avoided. An important thing to look at is the sodium count in the meat, try to keep it under 400mg. Also make sure that there is not too many ingredients in the meat especially ones that you cannot pronounce or don’t know what they are.
